This book aims to explore the oriental Human Resource Management and Human Resource Development strategies as designed by the great Kautilya and to re-apply them in the present micro and macro dimensions of Organizations or Nations.

My book also traces a journey back to the royal labyrinths of Arthashastra, bedrocked on the philosophy of Prithvilabham (Acquisition of resources) and Prithvipalanam (Retention of the acquired resources). This golden philosophy had once guided the nation to healthy co-existence and prosperity. Apart from the discussions on human resource management and development, an attempt is also being made to depict and adapt the politics, economy, judiciary and social security system which prevailed during the period of Arthashastra to give the reader a complete pragmatic experience of the world of Arthashastra and bring it into the context of the modern administrative system.
